Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Welcome to The Exporter Hub, the TradeTech VaaS (Verification-as-a-Service) platform dedicated to eliminating the Global Trust Deficit. Find answers to your most pressing questions about our model, verification process, and the Zero-Risk Guarantee.
1. What is The Exporter Hub?
The Exporter Hub is India’s first B2B TradeTech platform that provides Verification-as-a-Service (VaaS). We transform international sourcing into a secure, transparent, and fast process by rigorously verifying Indian exporters through a multi-stage audit process.
2. How are you different from Alibaba or IndiaMART?
Traditional B2B platforms sell listings and documentation-based ‘Gold Status’ (Paid Membership). We sell Certified Trust. Our Gold Status is earned through a Mandatory On-Site Factory Audit, which verifies physical production capacity and QC protocols. We are a Risk-Elimination platform, not just a marketplace.
3. What does ‘VaaS’ (Verification-as-a-Service) mean?
VaaS means our primary product is Trust and Verification. We provide a continuous, multi-layered audit service—starting from digital document checks to physical site inspections—ensuring the exporter’s compliance and capacity remain consistent. This service is the foundation of our entire ecosystem.
4. What is the ‘Global Trust Deficit’ that you aim to solve?
The Global Trust Deficit is the high uncertainty and risk international buyers face when sourcing from unverified foreign manufacturers. This deficit leads to expensive, time-consuming third-party audits (like SGS/Bureau Veritas) or, worse, cancelled deals due to quality failure. We solve this by making verification seamless and guaranteed.
5. How can I join The Exporter Hub?
You can join by registering your company and submitting your initial compliance documents (IEC, GSTIN, RCMC). This grants you Bronze Status and access to our trade news and basic lead lists.
6. What are the different verification tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold)?
- Bronze: Basic legal compliance (documentation check).
- Silver: Proven export performance (verified Bank Statements and BoL history).
- Gold: Mandatory On-Site Audit cleared. This is the highest tier, granting access to the Zero-Risk Guarantee and premium leads.
7. What is the Mandatory On-Site Audit for Gold Status?
This is a physical audit conducted by our certified VaaS team at the exporter’s factory/facility. We verify production machinery, quality control mechanisms, inventory, and operational capacity against the claims made by the exporter. This step is non-negotiable for Gold Status.
8. How do I get a V-Code Trust Score?
The V-Code is our proprietary algorithm that calculates your objective Trust Score based on: document compliance, BoL history, years of operation, and On-Site Audit results. The higher the score, the higher the buyer confidence.
9. What is the Zero-Risk Sourcing Guarantee?
The Zero-Risk Guarantee is a financial assurance offered on all transactions with a Gold Verified Exporter. If a verified quality or quantity deviation is confirmed post-shipment (and the fault is determined to be the Gold Exporter’s failure to adhere to their audited QC protocol), the transaction is covered by our Guarantee Fund, mitigating the importer’s loss.
10. How is this Guarantee better than Trade Assurance?
Traditional Trade Assurance is reactive—it only mediates after a dispute arises and relies primarily on documentation. Our Zero-Risk Guarantee is proactive—it is based on the On-Site Audit that minimizes the risk before the transaction even begins. We verify capacity first, thereby guaranteeing the outcome.
11. Does the Hub handle logistics and trade finance?
We facilitate logistics by providing tie-ups with verified partners and offer necessary documentation for trade finance. While we don’t act as a bank, our Gold Verification significantly eases the approval process for trade financing due to the verified low risk.
12. How do I find the best verified supplier for my product category?
You can use our search filter to view only Gold and Silver exporters who have been audited in specific high-risk categories (e.g., Building Materials, Chemicals, Machinery). This saves you time and ensures compliance from the start.
13. Are my documents and data secure on the platform?
Yes. All sensitive data (including Bank Statements and Bill of Ladings) required for Silver and Gold Verification are secured using bank-grade encryption (SSL/TLS) and are only accessible by the certified VaaS Compliance Team for audit purposes. We do not share your financial data with buyers.
14. Do you support mobile access?
Yes, our platform is fully responsive and accessible via any modern mobile browser. We are also building out dedicated features to enhance the audit tracking and secure chat functionalities on mobile.
15. How do I report a suspicious activity or a non-compliant exporter?
Please contact our Compliance and Trust Team immediately via the “Report Issue” section on the dashboard or email us at [email@theexporterhub.com]. Compliance is our highest priority, and we investigate all reports rigorously.
